In Wet Stones, Simon Hauck uses the aesthetic of the snapshot. In trying to replicate the feeling of a photo with little purpose or reason, Hauck stitches together images as fast as possible. Inspired by images with little predetermination and of photos which desire to document a moment but fall short. Hauck uses motifs of the mistake such as blurring, improper exposure, and light leaks. Combined with the gestures of generic snapshots to evoke hazy memories and the mild tickling of senses they provoke.
